Rent bills pass City Council - Mar. 22, 2018

On March 22, 2018, the New York City Council
passed Resolution 188-A and Intro 600-A.
The resolution declares that NYC still has
a housing emergency (a vacancy rate under 5%).

Now that it has passed the City Council,
the city rent control law (what's left of it)
has been renewed for three years, until
April 1, 2021.

The intro renews the NYC Rent Stabilization
Law of 1969 for three years, until April 1, 2021
The mayor must sign this bill into law. Stand
by for notice of the bill-signing hearing.
